Walden Moore plays the United Church organ.
Colonial Concert XXXVII brings special guests to
Olde New Haven.
O.N.E.'s 37th annual "Concert of Mufick" in the style of the 1780s, features Trinity Church and Yale University performers Saturday, November 26 at 8pm, United Church on the Green, 270 Temple Street.
The program is set in 1786. His Excellency, The Honorable Thos. Jefferson, Minister to France (Ben Anderson, Yale School of Drama) is visiting 'New-haven' with a batch of interesting and current mufick from Paris, including Joseph Haydn's newest Sinfony (now known as No. 84 in E flat Major) written especially for the Parisian audiences.
Walden Moore
The remarkable Polish soprano, Mifs Natalia Rubis (Yale Opera program), recently of Dresden and Vienna will perform mufick by Mozart (the Younger) and the estimable Handel.
Mr Walden Moore, of Trinity Church on the Green, will perform on United Church's magnificent organ. Mr Jefferson is bound to have other musical pleasures to offer.
The 2nd Company Governor's Foot Guard opens the festivities, and the Orchestra and soloists will be attired fully in 18th-century finery. With the church festooned for the Holidays and lit in candlelight, this is a New Haven tradition not to be missed!
Make an evening of it by joining us for a festive pre-concert dinner at 6pm across Elm Street at The Graduate Club (dinner tickets sold separately).
