Dear all
I am sure that Glenn Gould plays Bach DVD will be released in North America as well because the box set with the CDs is listed on both Amazon Germany and the main US site. Reckon the DVDs will be up for pre-order soon.
GG ranting about Mozart sounds most intriguing and will definetly make a good Friday Evening Beer Movie. I assume this one will also be soon up on amazondotcom. Why was that not in the CBC box ? Please don’t tell me there were copyright issues !
If this wound not be the case please consider thet DVDs in Europe, North America, Asia etc all have different Codes (0 is worldwide, 1 for North America, 2 for Europe and so on) and that the device of your choice can cope with foreign formats and your TV can deal with PAL or NTSC. Details on req.

Yes - in fact, you can use your normal Amazon info to do so. You'll probably be asked to enter your credit card and address, and you can have the bill in US dollars.

Can you order from those foreign amazon sites if you are from the Unites States?

Hello Kristian,
Fantastic news indeed! Thank you for letting us know.
If the playing time is correct -- about 75 min. -- there must be quite a lot more on the DVD than the 20 minutes long Mozart program.

Hi all,
How Mozart Became a Bad Composer
This fall just gets better and better. Whatever the difficulties regarding the release were, they now seems to have been resolved:

Hello Mary,
Thanks for the information about the Mozart-program. As I've been told,
the problem with all these PBS-programs is that they want more money than
Sony is prepared to pay. That is why "The Well-Tempered Listener" and
perhaps also the Bernstein/Gould Bach Dminor (first mvt. only I believe)
haven't been released in their entirety.
I wish the Foundation would do their job and not concentrate on the prize.
What is a lot of media attention worth if it has very little to do with
GG.
Anyway, this past year has been very kind to us fans, so why grumble... :-)

Jorgen
> Thanks for the "Good News" Jorgen; now if someone could just coax The
Paley Center for Media/PBL (or whoever) to release "How Mozart Became A
Bad Composer". I'd love it to be given to "Internet Archive" - and after
all why not?

hopes and now I have confirmation that it contains all three late Bach
films with Bruno Monsaingeon! I don't know if there are any extras, for
example outtakes from the Goldberg film. Here's the information: "This
3 DVD set contains the following material:
>> The Question of Instruments (1979), a CBC-Clasart co-production. About
Bach's abstract to non-instrumental approach to composition, and
performances from the Art of the Fugue, the Chromatic Fantasy, and of
the complete D major Partita.
>> An Art of the Fugue (1980), a CBC-Clasart co-production. Contains
discussions and performances of fugues from the Well-Tempered Clavier,
the later use of the fugue by other composers, and performances of
fugues 2, 4 and 15 from The Art of the Fugue.
>> Goldberg Variations (1981), Clasart"
