Due to the fact that most classical compositions are (still*) in the Public Domain there is no problem in obtaining scores for these works, in some cases and if available even original manuscripts.

There should be many sources out there, including various Bach archives, sources like archive.org and whatnot. I can only play Louie Louie so this is yet not useful for me but if anyone requires more sites the lemme know.

*The current US administration would like to change that for some works and also wants to extend copyright in terms of lifetime plus actual protection of works in and out of Public Domain. Be afraid, be very afraid if they pull that one....

Karl,  Many thanks.  I ordered, and learned about "CD Universe".  Now I'm going to try to track down the score.  Are you a pianist?  Do you know, by any chance, where it is available.

      Makes you wonder what GG would have done with this piece of music, could he have possibly played it at an even slower tempo or perhaps twice as fast?

      Although we'll never know, one thing you can be certain of, his recording would have been, as with so many of his other recordings ...  Gouldian.
